If you've googled this question, you've probably found a mess of vague ranges and 'contact us for pricing' walls. Here are the real numbers. We run bilingual teams in Tijuana, Mexico City, and Guadalajara every day, and this is what the market — including us — actually charges in 2026.
The short answer: $12–$24 per agent hour, fully loaded
A dedicated bilingual agent in Mexico costs between $12 and $24 per hour in 2026, depending on the complexity of the role. Industry surveys put the broad market band at $13–$23/hour, with border cities like Tijuana competitive on volume work and Mexico City and Guadalajara nudging higher for specialist roles. For comparison, US-domestic outsourcing averages $32+/hour, and a fully-loaded in-house US seat runs $55,000–$75,000 a year before you pay for nights and weekends.
What 'fully loaded' actually includes
The hourly rate isn't just the agent's wage. A legitimate fully-loaded rate covers the agent's salary and benefits, a supervisor and QA layer, the facility, the technology stack (telephony, CRM access, security), recruiting and training, and the provider's margin. If a quote looks dramatically cheaper than this band, one of those ingredients is missing — usually supervision or QA, which is exactly where cheap outsourcing goes wrong.
Rates by role, from our own rate card
- 24/7 bilingual answering and after-hours coverage: $12–$14/hour
- Dedicated customer service agents: $12–$15/hour
- Appointment scheduling, data entry, document review: $12–$14/hour
- Multichannel support (phone, chat, email): $14–$17/hour
- Verification, eligibility, order operations: $13–$17/hour
- Claims processing and FNOL intake: $14–$18/hour
- Technical or specialized support (tier 2–3, licensed, compliance-heavy): $18–$24/hour
What that means per month
A full-time dedicated agent works about 173 billable hours a month (40 hours a week). So one dedicated customer service agent runs roughly $2,100–$2,600 a month. A team of five costs $10,400–$13,000 a month. A specialized technical agent runs $3,100–$4,200. For 24/7 coverage of a single concurrent seat, plan on roughly four rotating agents to cover every shift, weekend, and PTO day.
The honest comparison isn't Mexico vs. free. It's $2,400 a month for a dedicated bilingual agent vs. $4,600+ a month for the same seat in-house in the US — before benefits admin, turnover, and management time.
The three pricing models you'll see
Dedicated per-agent pricing (what we quoted above) gives you named agents working only your account — the right model for brand-facing work. Shared or per-minute pricing pools agents across clients and works for low-volume answering. Per-outcome pricing (per appointment set, per lead qualified) exists in sales contexts but usually converts back to an hourly equivalent once volume stabilizes. Most companies comparing quotes should normalize everything to a fully-loaded hourly rate — it's the only apples-to-apples number.
Questions that separate good providers from cheap ones
- Is the rate fully loaded, or are supervision, QA, and technology billed separately?
- Are agents dedicated to my account or shared across clients?
- What's the replacement policy when an agent doesn't work out?
- Do I get transparent reporting — dashboards I can open, not monthly slide decks?
- Where do bonuses and incentives flow — and what fee applies to them?
