COMPARISON

CSC Contact Center Software vs. RingCentral

Two products: RingEX, a business phone system (calls, video, messaging), and RingCX, a separate contact-center suite sold by quote. Which one is the better deal depends on whether you have one seat or twenty, so here is the honest version, with RingCentral's published September 2026 prices, minimums, and add-ons counted.

The short version

Who should pick which.

Pick RingCentral if…

  • You want one vendor for phones, video meetings, and team messaging
  • You need hundreds of desk-phone users across offices, not a support desk
  • You have the volume to negotiate a RingCX contract and want a big-suite roadmap
  • You need numbers in 100+ countries

Pick CSC if…

  • You are a support or intake team of 1–5 that needs queues, callbacks, and monitoring without a second product
  • You want chat, email, and texts in the same console as calls
  • You want scheduling, adherence, and QA scorecards without a workforce-management add-on
  • You may want CSC's bilingual agents to staff it — the software is then included

You get either way

  • Browser softphone, IVR menu, call recording
  • Business texting
  • Mobile access and an API
  • A published annual-billing discount

RingEX is a phone system: queues are basic call queues, and true contact-center features (skills routing, callbacks, dialers, agent analytics, workforce management) live in RingCX, which is a second product, a second contract, and a quote. Taxes and regulatory fees are added to every line. Advanced analytics and workforce tools in RingCX are add-ons. Seat minimum: None on RingEX; RingCX is a sales-led quote. Monthly billing: +29–50% on monthly billing. Trial: 14-day free trial on RingEX. Sources: ringcentral.com pricing · CloudTalk's 2026 RingCentral pricing guide, September 2026.

FAQ

The questions people ask before switching.

Is CSC cheaper than RingCentral?

Against RingEX as a plain phone system, no: Core is $20 per user on annual billing. Against what a support desk actually needs — queues with callbacks, monitoring, scorecards, a scheduler — RingCentral moves you to RingCX, which is quoted and lands at $65–$125 per agent in independent guides. Our Professional plan is $99 with all of that included.

Do I need RingEX and RingCX?

If you want a contact-center desk on RingCentral, typically yes: RingEX for the phone system and RingCX for the agent desk, each licensed separately. CSC is one product: the console, the queues, the channels, and the manager's dashboard on one plan.

Is there a minimum number of users on CSC?

No. One user is fine, month to month, at the same per-user price as annual billing (annual just gets two months free).

What does 'included with every team' mean?

If CSC staffs your phones, chat, or back office with a dedicated bilingual team, the software is included at no per-seat cost. The vendors compared here sell software only; you hire, train, and schedule the people yourself.

RingCentral, RingEX, and RingCX are trademarks of RingCentral, Inc. CSC Solutions is not affiliated with RingCentral; figures are from RingCentral's public pricing as of September 2026 and may change. Other comparisons: vs. Aircall · vs. Dialpad · vs. JustCall.

Try it with a real seat, not a demo.

One user, month to month, workspace created the moment you pay. Or let our bilingual team run it and get the software included.
